We are a public charter school that focuses on math and science. We provide a superior education that will lead to increased academic achievement for all students. We believe all students can be academically successful with support from the community, parents, teachers and staff of the Academy of Math and Science.

Congratulations AMS Science Team ! 

On Saturday, February 13, 2010, seven of the members of the AMS Science team competed in Science Olympiad. Our students participated in 8 out of 20 events. Our results were fantastic!!! We won 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th places in diffferent competitions. We are looking forward to the next competition on March 13, 2010 in Phoenix. 

 

AMS science team has a long history of participating in and winning many science competitions.

In 2009 Frankie Orozco won second place in the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair competition.

In 2008 AMS students won a wide range of awards:

SciEnTeK-12 Foundation - 1st place Elementary School award for AMS Kindergarten. The AMS Kindergarten team was the only Kindergarten team participating in the elementary schools category this year.

03/11 - SARSEF

Congratulations to the following winners at the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair: Reanna Lee, Karisma Webber: The Affect of Light on Fish Activity; Maria Lipets: Static Electricity; Group or Class Project - Teacher Jessica Salo (2nd grade): Magical Life Savers; Group or Class Project - Teacher Kathy Hartley (2nd & 3rd grades): The Power of Levers. This was a very competitive year with 1450 projects and only 300 awards. Our students' hard work and effort paid off!

03/11 - April 16 & May 7 - Open House Events

Prospective AMS students and family members are invited to attend one of our two Open House events on April 16 5:30-6:30 and May 7, 5:00 to 5:45. During your visit you can tour our campus, learn about our curriculum and educational philosophy, meet with our award-winning staff, and find out about our top notch fine arts and extracurricular programs.

Biweekly Eegee’s Parties All students with perfect attendance (bell-to-bell) are awarded every two weeks with an Eegee’s Party. Be on time and share in the fun!
